Alicia Blake, a graduate from our local West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, is an up-and-coming massage therapist that will be practicing as a Wellness therapist until she is granted her full-fledged RMT license in the next month(s).
Alicia has found success with acute and chronic neck pain, chronic low back pain, headaches, anxiety, general muscle tension, and acute injuries. She particularly enjoys delivering deep tissue massage. However, it is important to her that the treatment is tailored to your personal pressure preference so that we most effectively customize to your needs. It is important that every client feel inclusively supported and heard, and confident in the work we do together. Alicia wants to be a part of your healing journey and ultimately contribute to improving your quality of life.
Treatment modalities that she likes to incorporate into her treatments are:
• Deep Tissue Massage
• Trigger Point Release
• Myofascial Release (active/passive), Pin & Stretch
• Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) Stretching – once registered
• General Swedish Massage (muscle stripping/squeezing)
***Temporary Disclaimer: Wellness massage includes minimal assessment, and does not include homecare, or active treatment modalities
Alicia grew up in the interior and west coast. She has worked several years in the garden and landscape industry and has a background as a Resident Care Aid. Fortunately, she decided that massage therapy was the perfect careed choice that would combine her love of being physically active and being able to offer people the care and time in order to improve their health potential.
During Alicia’s leisure time, you will find her wither working in her garden, sailing, hiking, yoga, running, knitting, soap making and working out at the gym (Including cross-fit style workouts)!
Alicia is currently accepting new patients to her practice and looks forward to working with you and helping you live a more comfortable and functional life.
