Amanda Duguay is a registered acupuncturist living in beautiful Sooke, BC. She is a nature loving, holistic living, nutrition enthusiast who thrives in connection and loves to help support others. When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Amanda exploring in nature, creating in the kitchen, spending time in the garden, or relaxing outdoors with her dogs.

After graduating with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, Amanda spent half a decade working in social work and feels honoured and privileged to have been able to support the many children, youth, and families during that time. This personal experience allowed for a developed compassionate and keen ear that helps further support connecting with patients and expedite their healing.

Amanda was first drawn to acupuncture after a car accident that left her with intense neck, back and shoulder pain. She found acupuncture was able to focus on the root cause of the problem and was amazed how quickly her body responded to care. After a dedicated course of treatments her pain was greatly reduced and her body began to align again. After this experience, Amanda knew that she wanted to help others the same way that she had been helped with acupuncture. Amanda graduated from Pacific Rim College with a Diploma in Acupuncture, with additional training in Dr. Tan’s Foundations of Balance Acupuncture Level 1 & 2 as well as cosmetic acupuncture.

Her crafted approach to practicing TCM weaves the ancient wisdom of Eastern Medicine with a modern approach to healing, while also integrating the knowledge of Western Medicine. Amanda believes in the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself and supports individuals through acupuncture, diet therapy, gua sha, moxa, massage, and cupping.

Amanda’s intention is to create a safe space where all are welcome and strives to further support you in continuing your journey to optimized health.
