Massage therapy first entered Karen’s life through her passion and love of running. She became increasingly fascinated with the complex workings of the human body, growing a keen interest in why we experience common injuries, aches and pains, and how to prevent them from happening in the first place.
She believes Massage Therapy can be an extremely effective tool in reducing tension and pain, as well as restore and maintain optimal mobility so you can continue doing whatever it is you love to do.
She strives to discover the root of the problem and create an individualized treatment plan to best suit your current condition and needs. She also believes in educating clients with postural awareness, proper work place biomechanics, stretching and/or strengthening exercises to enhance your daily living.
Treatments include a blend of specific therapeutic techniques to address problem areas, as well as having a relaxation focus to break the pain-tension cycle.
Commonly used modalities include deep tissue and isolytic release, joint mobilizations, myofascial and muscle energy techniques.
To have established a career working with her hands and providing health care in the most natural state is something she finds extremely fulfilling and so grateful to have found.
